Govt. is planning to start D-pharm course in Homoeopathy soon. Currently, we have CCP courses only.Along with this, Minster will inaugurate the four-storey ladies hostel for PGs and Interns. Congratulations to Govt of Kerala.
The Govt.Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram started functioning during 1983 as Dr. K. J. Issac, as the Principal. The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy under the Department of AYUSH of Government of India. The College is owned by the Government of Kerala.The Five and a half years BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) degree course was started on the same year. The BHMS graded degree course was started on 1991 for a period of three years. The three year Post Graduate course (MD (Hom)) in two subjects (Homoeopathic Philosophy and Materia Medica) were started in 1995. In 1996 another PG course in Repertory was added. In the year 2004, Post Graduate courses were started in the subject of Practice of Medicine and Homoeopathic Pharmacy.
The principal of Govt.Homoeopathic medical college is the controlling officer and his office is the controlling office of Homoeopathic medical education in Kerala. Two Govt.colleges and three aided colleges coming under this office. Dr.Sunilraj.P is the current Principal and Controlling Officer. Govt.Colleges:-
